Well this summer has been one of the best ones yet for our little family. We had a great time spending lot's of time with our families enjoying and soaking up the sun (and yes we soaked it up in 100+ degree weather..crazy I know). Connor is very sad to see his summertime go bye bye, he adores being outside in the sun running and playing. (Little does he know that playing in the fall is sooo much better, he'll understand soon when Mommy and Daddy can play longer with him instead of stopping due to heat exhaustion).
As we move on into quite possibly the best season of all, I can't help but think about all the good times we had over the summer. We learned that Connor is NOT a huge fan of large swimming pools...crazy I know! He LOVES his baths and the little above-ground pool I finally talked my husband into letting us get (yes he finally agreed), but is deathly afraid of both our parents bigger pools...at least most of the time! Let's see, we also figured out that our child is going to be a boxing champ! He is crazy good at it...which is not so good when he starts doing it with actual fists instead of with his little blow up gloves his daddy got him. He's been really good about only punching when he has those on...but on occasion he sneaks one in on you and it can seriously take the wind (or knock the blood) out of you!!! Needless to say we've had to restrict him from doing this so often! As much as we love our son, lot's of other things than laughing at or about our silly little boy have happened for our family. God's been really good to us job wise, Scott has finally got his hire date for his job (he's been working as a temp at the same place for about 8 months now)! We could not be more thrilled not only is this a huge help financially but it's like a burden has been lifted of our shoulders. I have also been blessed finding a job in my career field! I am working at a Law firm doing somewher in between Legal Assistant, seceretarial, and paralegal work, and it has been so wonderful. I work with a wonderful (but very small) group of God fearing people that have made me feel very at home and have taught me several things to help me succeed here. We have finally gotten to a point where we feel like we have some room to breath and enjoy life rather than constantly worry about what disaster is going to happen or be sprung on us next. It's VERY exciting!!!!
As for the rest of our summer, Scott has taken on a new hobby of buying guns and going hunting (which is very attractive :)) He REALLY enjoys dove hunting, especially now that the season started! He is even improving lol! Hoping to get to go dear hunting with him at least once! Even more exciting than hunting (yes there is such a thing) we are expecting.....ANOTHER NEPHEW!!!! (haha for those few of you that read this...did I get ya hehe) Little baby Lane should be here by the end of this week! I felt so blessed to be able to be such a huge part in Landon's life it is so exciting to have another nephew to spoil rotten and love on! We really are so blessed with our families, our nieces and nephews are so amazing! They are all such big personalities and you can really see that the older they all get!
That's pretty much a summary of our summer memories, I can't wait to snuggle up in some long pj's to fill you in on what's going on in the York family in a another month or so (yes I am hoping for much, much, MUCH colder weather by the time I update this next!!!) Stay tuned though all of the holidays are coming up which means lot's of pictures and crazy stories!!! (I may sneak another entry in prior to tell you how Connor's 2nd birthday party went since it's coming up this weekend....eeeeekkkk!!!! I have a 2 year old..where did the time go!))))
Love,
Scott, Brittnee, and Connor

Oh the Goood Ol' Life
You know your one happy girl when everyday no matter how bad the day before was, you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackel the world! God is so good, in so many ways! I couldn't think of anything I'd change about my life. My son is so amazing, you know I seriously don't think a day goes by without Scott or I saying "He's so adorable" or "Scott/Brittnee you have to see your son he's being so cute" or "Ah buddy you light my life up" or "Your so smart!!!" It's just incredible how wonderful he is! He's everything a mom/dad would or could ever want in a child!
Last night he was being his crazy silly self running around the house screaming and playing, and then just randomely he nuzzles himself into Scott's lap and motions for a kiss on his forehead! Ahh like I said...He's adorable!!! He has this new thing where he is becoming VERY independent and loves to do things ALL by himself so we let him of course...so now when I change his diaper he goes into his room and brings you a diaper and then takes his old one to the trash...he's 19 mths old!!! I don't know how I got so blessed with such a perfect little boy but I bow down to God for such a wonderful blessing!!!
If you wanted to read about what else is going on in the York's family, this is that paragraph....I am really enjoying my new job as a Legal Assistant! It's everything I'd hoped it be plus some! I can't begin to tell you how much I'm learning...and getting the opportunity to do! Today I got my certificate to be a Notary which is pretty exctiting! As far as Scott...HE GOT HIRED ON!!! He started his training for his new position Monday and he is enjoying it! This was such a blessing for our family and we couldn't be more grateful for these opportunities! We are just soaking up all the goodness and enjoying our lives together. Scott and I have been so strong, and are coming into a rythm of being married, and I couldn't be more pleased with my husband and all that he does for his little family!
Other exciting events:
1. This weekend is father's day so I get to spoil Scott with goodies and let him off the hook for a day :)
2. My parents are visiting for the weekend which means I get to see my daddy on fathers day as well!!! And Connor and his cousing Landon love seing there Meme and Papa!
3. My seeester's baby shower is coming up in the next couple weeks so I'm pretty stoked about that! It's going to turn out ridiculously cute!!!
4. We got a little above ground pool so we get to have water fun all summer long!! Pics to be posted at a later date!
5. Connor went to bed last night with No pacifier and NO milk...just all by himself!!!! HUGE PROGRESS!!!
Anywase, that's it for now! Thanks for reading! Have a great week and weekend!

Just a little bit of bragging...
So... I know that every mommy in the world thinks their child is the most amazing in the world and the cutest in the universe, and I've said it a billion times before that Connor is exactly that!
But SERIOUSLY!!! He is sooooo CUTE! We've talked about his dancing skills before but I need to brag about how wonderful he is for just a moment! So last night I was catching up on the Voice recordings and everytime someone sang he shook his little hinny like it was going out of style! Seriously the most adorable thing EVER!
I just love watching him and laughing with him! Everyday he's doing something new that Scott and I get to enjoy with him! Currently it's twirling himself around in circles and bear crawling all over the house! He's also started talking a lot clearer! When you give him something he says thank you and it melts my heart! I <3 him more than I could ever imagine! Anywase I'm done bragging...well for now at least lol!
Have a blessed week!

Life's a Whirlwind!!!
The last few months in the York household have been a whirlwind! It's sort of been one thing after the other for us lately. I suppose this is what makes being an adult so interesting. Scott and I keep telling ourselves that things will eventually get calmer, but deep down I think we're both hoping they never totally settle down because then we'd lead an ordinary and boring life! As far as somethings I could FOR SURE live without here's just a few...
So our very sweet, crazy, energetic, and handsome little boy has been struggling with ear infections out the WAZOOO!!! As a parent this has been so hard to handle, there's so much you want to do to help or make them feel better, but theres just nothing that can help... It sucks! That's pretty much how I describe this ear infection crap! He'd had a few when he was little, but in the last couple months it seems like we've taken him to the dr weekly :( Our last visit, she told us that if they didn't clear up our only option would be tubes. Well we thought they were getting worse so we took him back expecting to hear the worst....come to FIND out that they are clearing up!! I wasn't so sure I believed this dr...because my little boy was still acting like he was in pain...but it seems to have worked becuase he is finally back to himself! Now we just hope that his poor little ears stay clear! This is definitely something I can do without!!!
The other thing we would be ok with not seeing EVER again!!! My dear husband who has been given a case of the bad lucks with hospital stays over the last year, broke his finger at a freak accident that happened at work:( It was awful, as a wife you want to be there for everything. But because it happened at work I didnt even find out about it until late that night and even then I didn't getto see him unitl he came home from the ER. It was so hard to not be there for him. Well to shorten the story, he did have to have surgery where they inserted to pins into his finger to fuze the bone together. This week he got his cast off and the pins taken out. Although he doesn't have full motion back yet, the dr seemed to think he would have no problem regaining it. So we are hopeful, and grateful that he still has a job, as well as a working finger!!! This man has been through the ringer over the last year, and has handled everything so calmly, and even when I was worried he got me through it and told me everything would be fine...and so far he's done a great job at keeping that promise.
So, ear infections, broken fingers, surgeries, and teething may have taken over our lives for the past couple months..we did find out some great life changing news....
Brittnee got a NEW JOB!! After working my butt off to graduate while being pregnant, then having a preemie, and taking care of a tiny new born...I finally got a job where I will be using my degree!!! I will be a Legal Assistant for a local Law Firm. I am beyond excited!!! Not only is the an amazing opportunity, it is a financial change for our family that will help us tremendously! I am super sad to leave the little family I made at the vets office and all the friends I've made there, but I'm grateful about this new change! I start this Thursday!! eeeekkk.....SO EXCITED!!!!
Well...theres probably much more that's worthy of making it into this blog but I'm sure nobody wants to sit here and listen to all of that!!!

New Beginnings
To New Beginnings...
Well most of you that know Scott and I probably know that we recently have been going through some rough struggles, but we are both glad and happy to say that we have found a way to get through them and are back on our feet! Every couple will face hard times through their relationship, and we both realize that. I think that maybe we both expected marriage to be easy, we failed to realize that marriage is infact the opposite of easy. We've realized that marriage is something you have to want and work at every single day, and that's something we are both willing to do because our marriage is important to us, and we do very much love each other. We've had good and bad times, and I can only hope that we will continue to make wonderful memories together as a family.
We know that we will always have obstacles to face and hardships to overcome but our recent struggles have only brought us closer together, and in some ways they've been a blessing in disguise. I know now more than I did before how important my husband and our family mean to me. God put us down this path for a reason, and I am grateful that he opened our eyes and made us realize how important we are to one another. People always say that God works in mysterious ways, and now for the first time in our lives we truly got to see God's work right in front of us. We have this beatiful family, and we both realize now that our family is number one in our lives (set aside from God). There is nothing truly more powerful than coming to the realization that you get to spend the rest of your life with the one person that really understands you. I am so grateful for the husband that I get to share my life with!
As far as everything else goes, we are both doing great with our work places, I am still working at the Vets office learning new things everyday! It's exciting and I am very grateful to have a job in this economy. Scott is going on about 2 months working at one of the plants here in town. He is enjoying it more than he expected. He is on a night shift, so that has taken getting used to on both our parts, but it's rotatitng so we get to spend a day or two with him usually every week and Connor LOVES that!!! Connor and his daddy are thick as theives...the two of them get together and trouble starts! Here's some new things going on with Connor!!!
* He blows kisses now when mommy and daddy tell him bye bye! Sooo adorable!
* He open mouth kisses you when you ask for kisses, which melts my heart <3
* He is running around EVERYWHERE and doesn't stop!!
* His best friend is probably his cousin Landon because he sees him all the time and they love playing together!
* He can now say lot's of different words..newest is Austa, which is is Aunt's name :) This made his MeMe a little upset, but his aunty very HAPPY!
* Last little thing is that he LOVES to wiggle!! Anytime he hears music he wiggles his little booty all over! He loves dancing!
There's lots of other things going on with us but it would take a week to write down everything! We just want to tell everyone how much we appreciate their support and help over the last couple months. We will never forget everything that was done for us! We love you guys!
Love,
Brittnee, Scott, and Connor
