I know that a lot of people don't agree with celebrating this holiday, however I personally don't think there's anything wrong with letting the kids dress up and get a little candy in their systems. This year we were stuck between several costumes for our little C-man. I reallllyyyyyyyyy wanted to make his costume this year...I don't know why I just think homeade costumes are really cute. I was stuck between a frog, dog, and a bear.....it took forever and about 10 people to finally decide on a dog! The plan was to make him a brown puppy dog...but I ended up making him a dalmation due to limited craft supplies in this town! It turned out so cute! We painted his face and gave him some spots! We took him and his nephew to the pumpkin patch and took some pictures! We decided against trick or treating this year since both his dad and I are on diets and we knew he wouldn't eat all that candy himself.
Ok so besides Halloween everything has been going pretty smoothly. Brittnee's job is going well, learning new things everyday and getting to see lot's of different animals which is scary yet exciting! And Scott started a new job about a week ago! He started working at Cryovac which is a HUGE plant that quite a few people/family he knows work there so it's been pretty easy to adjust. This was a great opportunity for our family and we are all very proud of him!
Let's see what else is new with the Yorks????? (Since it's been a couple months since our last update I think it would be easier to just list them)
* Well Connor went from walking (barely) lol to RUNNING! This kid amazes me everyday!
* We've been taking up new projects...lol well Brittnee has anywase. She is obssessed with Pinterest! Connor's room is about to be under crafty construction so she can begin her many projects (including a wall chalkboard, and a art section JUST for all of his little crafts he makes at daycare and at home.) This has also caused a sudden wave of baking over Brittnee...she made pumplin cupcakes with a pumpking cream cheese frosting and they were a ALL over hit!!
* WE are ALL addicted to the Sing Off...we all watch it intensly. Scott loves the old songs they sing, Brittnee loves the all acapella singing, and Connor...well he LOVES the girls group Delilah...he dances and stares at them :)
* Brittnee and Scott both have started their getting healthy diet! We are both doing really well loosing over 20lbs each! We know that this was a change that would only happen if we did it together and supported one another and so far it's working out great!
There's probably a ton of other things I could throw in there...but I'm sure you don't want to read 45 minutes of updates on us...especially since we are pretty boring! With the holidays approaching I am hoping to have some cute pictures to upload and funny stories for ya'll. We are making our first attempt at a road trip for Thanksgiving...Connor and I will be heading to Nebraska to see some family (Scott couldn't go due to his new job :( this will be the first time we've spent apart since having Connor). It's a 12 hour drive and he HATES his carseat so I'm sure that will be a blog in itself! Anywase, here's some pictures of Halloween to leave you with!
